Saira

Saira is a two-dimensional indie platformer game developed by Nicklas Nygren. The game is free, and its code was released publicly.

###Plot The game is set in a distant future, where humans figured out the interplanetary travel and colonies. Saira is a photographer. After a mysterious accident, she becomes the only human being left in the galaxy, yet she does not remember what happened due to a malfunctioning teleportation device that broke down during the event of teleportation itself. Saira begins her journey on her ship on Mars.

###Gameplay Saira can run, jump, hang on ledges and interact with the in-game world's items. She carries a personal data assistant with her at all times, which allows the players to manage her inventory through it, review the taken photos or to teleport Saira to the last checkpoint or directly to her ship.

Saira can photograph the scenes around her, which can be helpful, as there are clues present in the game that only appear after being photographed, such as the symbols on the walls.

Checkpoints have to be activated manually upon encountering them if the players want to teleport back to them.

The game features multiple puzzles that are required to be solved to use several game items. It is possible to open the PDA while interacting with the items.
