###Discontinuation The game's Japanese version was discontinued on November 29th, 2017. While its worldwide counterpart was available up to December 6th, 2017.

Once the discontinuation was announced, the option to buy in-game items for real money was turned off immediately. DLC was also no longer available for purchase.

###Setting The game is set in the universe of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex anime, that was based on a manga by Masamune Shirow. The plot follows the personnel of the Japanese Ministry of Public Affairs' Section 9.

The year is 2030, cybernetic prosthetics and cyborgs became a common thing in a modern world. Section 9 investigates various hacking-related crimes. The division was made up of former military officers and distinguished police detectives.

###Gameplay The main feature of the game was the in-depth cyborg customization system. A heavy emphasis was put on teamwork as the players were able to share their skills with the teammates and provide tactical support. That and the addition of the iconic optic camouflage and different robots allowed for numerous tactical options.

The players had several stats, such as their strength, visibility, and detection. The latter was used to measure the player character's exposure to the autonomous drones.
